Meet the USF research team

Dr. Lyndsay Boggess

Dr. Boggess is an Associate Professor in the Department of Criminology at the University of South Florida. She's been at USF since 2009. Before moving to Tampa, she's lived in Cleveland, Nashville, Washington DC, and Southern California. She teaches classes on wrongful convictions, the death penalty, communities and crime, and statistics. She researches the causes and consequences of racial disparities in the criminal justice system and crime in communities, particularly what happens to crime when neighborhoods change. She's enjoyed working from home during the pandemic because she gets to spend time with her cat, Toter.
